A few years ago, I experienced a dropped bladder and noticed a bulge in the top of my vaginal canal. After days of searching for an alternative to surgery, I decided that using a pessary would be the solution. However, my first experience with a pessary was an absolute failure; it caused me more pain than before, and I even experienced bleeding. I was frustrated and thought, "There has to be a better option." I realized I needed to find a pessary that fit me well and was made from something natural. With my background in technology and mechanical design, I knew I could create a solution. I set out to develop a natural pessary that my body would accept, yet would be sturdy enough to support my prolapsed bladder. Inspired by nature's best builder, the honeybee, I created the Spool Beeswax Pessary.
